Eulanda + Omo – A Shoreditch love
As a photographer, it is a huge compliment when another photographer hires you to take their photographs. So when my friend Eulanda (the talented photographer from Eulanda Shead Photography) asked me to photograph her and her wonderful OH I was incredibly honoured. Eulanda and Omo are the brains and creativity behind the HDYTI travel blog (Hey Dip Your Toes In!) and wanted a shoot that showed off their love, creativity and desire for exploration.
Together we explored the colourful and busy streets of East London, walking through famous Brick Lane (aka, the curry mile!), along the pretty canals of Hoxton and the trendy area of Shoreditch. It was so great to get out there and photograph my neighbourhood with these two!
East London is a great location if you fancy something a bit different to your usual couple or engagement photographs. Something a little more urban and city chic, where you can be bold, use bright colours and make pictures with a bit more attitude! My advice, if you do decide to do a shoot in East London, is to get out and explore the place before hand. By doing this, you can narrow down the locations you want the shoot to take place, so not to waste time on the day walking around too much! Since the area is so full of interesting and detailed graffiti, I also recommend wearing more block colour clothing, to stand out against the patterned backgrounds.
I absolutely love photographing couples in my neck of the woods, and it’s also a great spot to finish the shoot with a good cuppa from one of the lovely, quirky coffee shops around!
